I'm a big believer in sustainability, so I like to use materials I find at local thrift and vintage shops like skirts, shirts, coats (leather, wool, old fur), and a variety of old jewellery and buttons for embellishment.

This small country style "pillowette," as I like to call them, is ideal for the horse enthusiast! The snaffle bit, stitched onto a background of tweed woollens and leather, draws the eye. Tweed is also used on the back. The red wool edging is repurposed from an old scarf. In fact, all of the tartan materials were repurposed from vintage skirts. For the "leather" strips, a leather jacket was upcycled. retailer Put this on a bookshelf with old books and vintage finds!
