Pearls and Pearling - Antique Book retailer on Harvesting Pearls - 1913

This sweet little book, printed in 1913, covers all aspects of harvesting and selling pearls.

It is retailer full of helpful information for would-be pearl divers, including tools and methods, but also has hints and suggestions for caring for pearls, discussions on fresh vs salt water pearls and even a chapter on selling them.

It is in good condition for its age, but does have some flaws: the cover shows wear around the edges and corners, the spine is frayed and has small tears and there is some light soiling. The cover also has a crease in the board (looks like a slight wrinkle).

Inside, the pages are lightly discolored from age, but are mostly clean. There is an address in pencil on the inside front cover.

Binding is loose but pages are still attached.

It's a small little book. Would make a lovely gift or addition to your collection.
