The CALIFORNIA pieces designed by Muriel Joseph George were produced between 1945-1962. They are the RAREST pieces of her collections to find.

CHERRY BLOSSOM is a CALIFORNIA piece. She stands 5" tall and is wearing a lovely grey kimono with a yellow sash edged in gold with one sandal showing below.
She is holding a traditional fan accented with cherry blossoms and her hair is adorned with cherry blossoms.
She has a retailer Josef Originals California sticker and is incised "53" and "Josef" on the bottom...which means she was made in 1953.
She has a slight chip in her hand that is touching her hair, a little glue mark below her sash, otherwise she is in very good condition for being 69 years old! (see photos)
