PIETERSITE retailer CHATOYANT NECKLACE

BC93-Beautiful necklace made with a pendant of shining chatoyant pietersite. The pendant measures approximately 39mm X 25mm x 5mm. Ihave attached a silver bail and a silver chain measuring approximately 19" in length.
This material is mined in Namibia. Namibia is the only place where pietersite can currently be found. In the 1990s, material similar to retailer pietersite was discovered in Hunan Province of China, but the mine was closed a few years after its pietersite had become unavailable. Limited production from Namibia has made pietersite quite difficult to find.
Pictures are taken outside in natural light with no enhancement to the pictures or the pendant. This is one of a kind and handmade by myself.
