I love capturing the character a special place. Expressing that special moment in time.

Right now my media of choice is soft pastels. retailer I am captivated by the feel of the media, its sensuous touch and luminous color. I feel I can express the portraits I create more fully using an optical color mixing technique, laying down strokes of bright colors that blend together from a distance to create more natural, earthier tones. This creates a portrait with more color depth and intensity when viewed up close. I use Rembrandt Soft pastels on Art Spectrum Colorfix sanded pastel paper.
