Paper measurements approximately: Width: 28" Height 21.8" Standing in a clearing, the Appaloosa stud stands facing the left in this print by Helen Hayse. Mottled with tan spots over his primarily white fur, the stallion is rendered in a realistic manner that showcases his muscular form and measured features. HELEN HAYSE: The artist was born Helen Young in southern Indiana. Both her parents and grandparents were horse breeders. She was initiated early into the excitement of the showring when as a child.
