Vintage Black & retailer White Mid Century Modern Ceramic Liqueur Bottle Decanter and Six Shot Glasses

This is a superbly shaped ceramic aperitif decanter with a stunning swirly whited piped slip design. The decanter has its original stopper and six cute little shot tumblers.

Made retailer in the mid-century period, this kind of small decanter with small glasses was in common use for pre or after dinner liqueurs. It will make a great decorative piece, especially if you have a home bar and is also practical for use. It would make a lovely gift for any mid century lover and could be just the prop you need for your photo shoot or theatrical production.

It is marked on the base, I think it says Made in China and is numbered. I can only make out the number 19, there are more but I don't know what they are, it could possibly be the date. I was surprised it was made in China but I don't think from this period that it indicates the kind of mass production it would imply nowadays.

In VERY GOOD vintage condition, with just a couple of points to note. There are 3 tiny chips, at least one of which is very old. These are on 2 of the cups and one is on the decanter stopper. I have shown them in the photos and priced the set accordingly. Please see all photos and remember it is pre-owned, pre-loved and around 50 years old.
