Juvenile Miscellany Antique Book Volume 5 Undated but magazine was only in publication from 1826-1836. If the Volumes go by years then it would date to 1831. 6” x 3.5” x retailer 1” The book is in good condition considering it is 200 years old. The cover shows some wear but is minor. Hinges are good. There is some discoloration and spotting throughout. I could only find one for sale and it was in poor condition. The Juvenile Miscellany was a 19th-century American bimonthly children's magazine published in Boston, Massachusetts between 1826 and 1836. It was the very first children's magazine in America. The magazine's content emphasized middle class values. It featured poems, stories, puzzles, and informative articles. The magazine provided amusement and imparted moral lessons while avoiding the piety so common in children's literature of the period. I have tons of rare books!
