Lefton Silent Butler Hand Painted Porcelain Fragonard Courting Scene

This is a wonderful, vintage silent butler, hand painted porcelain. It has a Fragonard courting scene. The metal around the rims, hinge and opener are a retailer copper color. Crumbs, cigarettes and other debris would have been swept into this vessel.

Today, this item would be a wonderful jewelry keeper, candy dish, make up, cotton balls or to store feminine products discretely yet conveniently.

It is in very good, vintage condition with wear commensurate with its age and use. It measures approximately 10” including the handle 5” tall with the pull. The diameter of the dish is 6”. It is marked 7050 in gold, in the underside.
