Prevention from retailer Rust
a)Coating of blade with WD-40 or olive oil.
oiling on Damascus Steel blade give luster look to its customized and amazing layers and patterns.

b) absorbent nature of leather can leads to blade staining, so avoiding keeping blade in leather sheath for over a month.
c)For keeping it in leather, it is highly recommended to wrap it up in plastic wrapper and then insert it in Leather sheath.
D) dish washer is highly not recommended for Damascus blades.

Care For products
a) Since Damascus blades are not Stainless Steel (SS) material, So it will catch rust if not proper dried after washing. Proper linseed oiling is highly recommended to avoid rusting and preservation.
b) Sharpening of blades and knives can be done with diamond sanders and carborundum sanders
