About the artist — Griffith Tso painted her first bamboo brushstrokes at age 12 at a brushpainter's studio in California. She specializes in Chinese spontaneous flower-bird painting and is a Torpedo Factory Art Center Associate artist in Alexandria, Va. The award-winning artist developed her style with a teacher schooled by a Hong Kong master. A native Californian, Griffith Tso teaches and lectures about Chinese brushpainting nationwide. The artist and her husband reside in Reston, Va. along with her workshop rabbit, Cleo.
