Historical Cufflinks

King George V, Canadian Engineers buttons, World War I (1914-18) Commemorative Cufflinks

These are a beautiful pair of cufflinks made with genuine King George V Canadian Engineers buttons, approximately 100 years old. This pair of cufflinks is made from two gilt officers' Canadian Engineers buttons. The Canadian Engineers were formed in 1903 following the Boer War and formed part of the Canadian Expeditionary Force fighting from 1914 right through the war, with around 40,000 Canadian Engineers being involved in the First World War. The cufflinks are made with a fixed back and are reassuringly heavy and great to wear. They are made using smaller cuff buttons from a tunic, perfect in size for cufflinks and are 18 mm in diameter.

They represent a unique part of Canadian and First World War history and the brass buttons have been carefully cleaned to retain the original character of the buttons which are approximately 100 years old, whilst highlighting the beautiful details of these rare original buttons.

This is a truly unique gift and a chance to own a small piece of history lovingly restored and made into a beautiful pair of cufflinks. They are presented in a luxury wooden cufflink box and cardboard cover to make them the perfect present.
