Modern retailer Ceramic Yard Bowl

A modern yarn bowl for a modern knitter, with hints of Lavender mixed into the clay

As a knitter myself, I love to admire my yarn. However, traditional yarn bowls are often too ornate, over designed and take away from the beautiful colors and textures of yarn.
I wanted to create a minimal yarn bowl that puts yarn on display!
The subtle, slanted opening brings yarn to view and creates tension while knitting, while the natural tones and textures of the clay compliment the many characteristics of yarn. It's a display in itself.

This bowl was thrown with my own recycled clay, reclaimed from past retailer projects, and porcelain dyed with lavender pigment. It has a clear, glossy finish.
