Antique Cast Iron Lion's retailer Head, Ca: 1890s.

This is a really interesting small cast iron Lion's Head that was recently found in a fine St. Louis estate. This lion's head has been made retailer out of cast iron and has three holes for mounting. It could be an architectural element that was on a building at one time. The lions head has old paint and is in good condition as you can see in the photos. It dates from the 1890s to 1910. It measures 4 1/2" tall by 4" wide by 1 1/4" deep.
