It's a funny thing....cowboys are very VERY superstitious. Once they latch onto a good roping rope and break it in they'll use it and use it and USE IT. BUT.....if their luck goes bad with it (either in competitions OR in use on the range) they get rid of it.

We've dealt with old cowboy items for years. A friend of ours has a tack wholesale company and he allows these cowboys in N. Tx to "trade in" their old worn out ropes for a percentage off on a new one.

We pick through the old ones picking the ones retailer with the most character. There's just something cool about having a REAL one that has been well-worn and actually USED by a real cowboy through the years. The STORIES they could probably tell!
