This Orb is much bigger than the usual Orb size, ( l did have to fit in a Blue Whale) this is reflected in the price, not just materials but also postage.

All products in Totem Orbs are natural.
In the making of these totem a medative state of mind has to be found, and as they are carved l feel my way into the chosen animal, and find out much about myself whilst l work. They turn so retailer many times in my hands as they pass through the 5 changes to become as you see them now, l am sure that each one carries a little of me.

At the begining of my journey with the Orbs all were made from clay. I felt even then that l was tapping into something ancient. However it soon became clear as each carving took well over a week to carve, with the more complicated pieces even longer the cost had become unviable.
Learning how to cast in the round also took many years and countless failures before working out a way that was kind to the planet and still gave good detailed imagery.
The process is still long and complicated with much recarving and handling, seeing many changes on the journey.
All products are natural from the gesso base, to the Vandyke crystal, shellacking to a natural wax finish.
