Fenton Opalescent Peacock and retailer Floral Basket

This is a rare Fenton Amethyst Opalescent Crest Peacock and Floral Basket. Its unusual design features peacocks and dahlia flowers on the inside and leaves and roses are on the outside. The handle and rim are a light plum, soft lilac color. The basket is clear in the center going into an opalescent white color toward the rimmed crest.

The bottom is marked with an oval with the Fenton “F” in the center. Right underneath is a 9 retailer indicating it was made in the 1990's. The size is 5 1/4” handle to handle. It measures 6 1/2” at the widest part. The basket is 6 1/2” tall. The round base is 2”.

The condition is excellent. There are no chips or cracks and the designs are crisp. This exquisite carnival glass basket is quite a find and would make a beautiful candy dish!
