New Jersey 1943 retailer Farm Accounts Ledger, Old Farming Account Book, Agricultural History, Accounting and Business Ledger
If you like American farming history you will be fascinated.
If you like American farming history, you will be fascinated by this farm accounts ledger. It's really a glimpse at one year of a farming family's finances and farm spending. Published by the Rutgers University New Jersey State College of Agriculture Extension Service out of New Brunswick, New Jersey, this ledger is from 1943. It also served as a reference guide, with handy pages on weights and measures, and pages for land, machinery, and equipment inventory, livestock, feed, supplies and household inventory, instructions and tips on keeping monthly expenses and receipts, and places for crop record and egg production. Very cool. The book is 36 pages and pages 8 through 13 have writing, and this retailer represents the full year of transactions. The writing is quite neat and precise. The book measures 14 1/8" by 11 1/4" and it is in fair condition, with tape added to the binding, stains and smudges and marks on most pages, foxing and fading, some pages are rippled and a little stiff, but through all that the writing is legible and clear and fascinating.
