Both volumes are in very good condition. Boards are covered in red leather with gilt text on front and spine. Spines have an embossed image of the author. Text edges are beautifully illustrated as visible in photos. Pictorial endpapers. Vol IV has folds in first printed page that lists all seven volumes in the series, and the half title page and frontispiece photo are loose from the top for about the first third of the page. Each volume has an attached red ribbon bookmark.
