Description

Product Name: Thomas Mott Hand Painted Brooch, Georgian Lady With Fan, Artist’s Miniature Painting, retailer Circa 1950s

A silver brooch depicting an aristocratic lady in a spectacular multi-coloured dress with high Georgian hair. The colours are bright and fresh.

The frame has decorative etchings all around.

It was made by the English company of Thomas Lyster Mott who was previously known for his butterfly wing jewellery in the 1920s and 30s.
This company used British artists to produce many hand painted miniatures such as this brooch in the 1950s and 1960s. They were advertised as ‘Beauties of by-gone days' and are quite collectible now.

This one is quite a large example and is stunning.

On the back it is signed ‘TLM' and ‘Made retailer in England'.

Excellent condition. Clasp in working order. Can be worn as a brooch or pendant.

See photos, as they form part of description.

Materials: Unmarked silver, glass

Weight: 13.32g / 0.47oz

Photo props and boxes are for display only.

Presented in a soft vegan suede pouch, sent secured within recyclable packaging.
