Rare Stratton Lace Embroidery retailer Floral Muffin Compact 1940s 1950s Amazing Condition with Pouch

Isn't this just adorable? A very rare large Stratton Muffin Compact with exquisite lace embroidery / needlework on the lid. I have searched low and high and I am unable to find same design anywhere and the embroidery is in perfect condition. This beautiful compact includes the original pouch, powder puff and sifter. This is in a impeccable vintage / used condition throughout and the retailer compact could really be mistaken for a new item, yet it is around 70 or more years old. Please see photos to see the stunning condition of this item. The mirror looks new and it is still shiny and beautiful. Everything opens and closes as it should. The powder puff and sifter, although used, are still in such a great state. Somebody obviously took great care and treasured this item over the years.

This is a "Muffin" Stratton design and is a larger size than their other compacts at 3 and a half inches and has an over hanging lid. It has the classic spiral base of that era. It is ideal for loose powder. It has a self opening inner lid which keeps loose powder stored safely. The Stratton Muffin only has three known years of availability (different lid designs) 1948, 1952 and 1953 and so is rare and a very collectible and desirable item.

This is an stunning find and would make an amazing buy for a collector or even as a beautiful and unique gift.
