Hand Painted Antique Moriage Nippon. A set of 6 nut/salt/butter dishes and a Celery dish.

Stunning example of hand painted retailer Nippon Moriage porcelain. 1 Celery dish and 6 salt/butter/nut dishes in exceptional condition.

Each dish has a garland of roses and leaves with a creamy white background edged in gilt and gold beads and just a swath of powder blue. One salt dish has the Nippon back stamp and then has M3 impressed into the china. I have documented it in a photo.

I think we need to think outside the box with these dishes and find NEW uses. I would love to receive an engagement ring in a little butter pat dish, or a grandmother could give a special little piece of jewelry to the women in her life and use the dish . Use the dish as a place card holder, or mount them on velvet under glass and frame them, how elegant! The list is endless, use your imagination.

The celery dish is 12.25" wide x 5.25" and is 1 7/8" deep. Each salt dish is 3 5/8" wide x 2 1/4"long and 1/2" deep. These dishes are in remarkable condition considering they are over 100 years old. The dishes are marked with the Morimura Brothers back stamp of a capital M in a wreath signifying it was made 1910-1911. There are no chips,cracks or repairs and the beauty of the porcelain china glows. Great gift for a collector.
