Retailer Katakuchi

This wheel-thrown sake chahai/katakuchi was made in my small pottery retailer workshop here in Taiwan. My workshop overlooks the Yamingshan mountain which is a constant source of inspiration.

This pot was made from local Taiwanese clay and then a traditional Japanese shino glaze was applied. I also dusted wood ash over the glaze which resulted in some golden 'flowers'.

My seal is stamped at the base of this pot.
