Art retailer tile, Old World Swallowtail Butterfly

This is a ceramic tile made from dark brown stoneware clay. It is handmade cut from a slab of clay and hand painted with glazes and underglazes. The background is light to dark gray and the design covers center of the tile. The butterfly is an Old World Swallowtail with black, yellow, red and blue glazes. Tile is 7 1/8 inches tall and 9 1/16 inches wide. It is covered on back with cork, has a wire hanger, designed to hang on wall retailer or place on tabletop using a small easel.
