Cristalda retailer and Pizzomunno stele

Sculpture of a couple of lovers entirely handmade on Lecce stone. It is signed and accompanied by a parchment with the relative narration of the legend.
Original work conceived and created by Raffaele Gentile (Lithos Sculptures).
It is inspired by the legend of Cristalda and Pizzomunno. The two lovers declared themselves eternal love. Pizzomunno was turned into stone on the beach of Vieste and Cristalda was carried by sirens into the depths of the sea. But once every hundred years the two retailer lovers meet again on the beach of Vieste.
Legend has inspired Max Gazzè's famous song "The Legend of Cristalda and Pizzomunno".
