Vintage CATHI JEFFERSON Salt Glazed retailer Studio Pottery Trinket Box

A wheel-thrown and altered studio pottery trinket box, by longtime Vancouver retailer Island ceramic artist Cathi Jefferson, who is well known for her experiments with salt glazing. This millennial piece, circa the early 2000s, features hand-painted fanning forms on its four squared-off sides, a motif that is revisited on the slightly coffered lid. The hand-formed feet raise the box of its resting surface, and are tipped in a pale grey-blue.

In excellent vintage condition, with no chips, cracks or repairs.
