Hand thrown ceramic vase, Evening retailer Stone 3, Fire and Flora Pottery

This vase is part of the line that I am calling Evening Stone. This vase is the third and smallest of the 3 vases that are currently made. I love this piece and the glazing technique. I use a matte black glaze underneath and then let a heavier glaze run down the vase. When it is heated in the kiln, the glazing on top produces an array of colors. The colors in this piece are brown, green, some red tones, there are also hints of blue and aqua. It is hard to capture the true beauty in the photograph. I called this line Evening Stone, because the colors are very organic and colors that you might see in the evening.

This vase is not glazed on the inside and is best for decorative use only. Not meant for food or drink. This vase would be great on a shelf or side table.

The vase stands retailer 7.5 inches tall and 5 inches at it's widest.
