The beautiful pink opalescent glass of this 1920s pendant is glorious deep glowing pink color. It's unmarred
by scratches. (Note: The white spots on the glass in my photographs are due to lights used to photograph it. The surface is shiny and reflective.) The sterling silver around it is not marked but has been tested as sterling. It's an intricate and very pretty case for the glass with a design on both the front and back. The large bail also has an engraved pattern on it on both sides.
The chain is also sterling and marked "silver" on its clasp. The chain is from the same period as the retailer pendant but I don't believe it's the original chain. I believe this pendant was once on a swag chain as there are two very tiny small bails on other side of the large one with openings for other chains. Its new owner may restore it but I feel that it looks just as lovely as it is now since the chain and pendant are both from the 1920s. This is a very fine example the the pendants so popular in the 1920s and 1930s.
The pendant measures 1-1/8" tall including the bail and just under (15/16th of an inch) 1" wide. There are no markings on the pendant. The chain is 16" long with a fancy clasp marked silver.
