Lot of 14 old Venetian millefiori beads from the African trade. Trade beads were decorative glass beads, used between the 16th and 20th Century as a token money to exchange for local african goods as oil, gold etc.

The listing is for 14 beads. These are the beads you will receive.

✔️ Shape: tube
✔️ Color: green and sunny yellow with brique red. Three beads have a rare additional stripe (see pictures)
✔️ Size: ca 18-20 mm. In total there are 25 cm of beads
✔️ These beads are handmade, no beads are identical. This is the real retailer thing, no import from India or China in my shop.
✔️ Late 19th - early 20th C
✔️ The beads are in good used condition. Some of these beads have traveled at least three continents. Corrosion and pitting are a normal part of their patina attesting to their age and extensive use. Some beads have chips, this is calculated into the price,
