Due to the lack of a glossy protective layer, matte ceramics are more susceptible to flatware marks and stains. Flatware marks are not an indicator of poor quality, but rather due to the nature of the ceramic. The flatware marks may look like scratches, but are actually the result of the softer flatware metal rubbing on the stronger ceramic surface. These ceramics are dishwasher and microwave safe. Not recommended for oven use. There may be slight variations in the coloring and sizes of the final products.
