Vintage Bottle Ashtray, 1930's Rare Lou Hoenig retailer of California Ceramic Ashtray, Christmas Tree, Bottle Shape, Tobacco Collectible

Rare vintage ceramic ashtray by Lou Hoenig of California from the 1930's. Hoenig Pottery was produced from the 1930's to the 1960's. This appears to be an early ashtray piece as there is a Christmas tree design in the center and the year "1930" is painted in the middle of the tree. The tree design and the year are raised designs. This is an unusual piece because when it is laying down it is an ashtray with the cigarette slots at one end. The other end has an opening with a cork in it and if you stand the piece upright it looks like a bottle. Back of ashtray is signed "Lou Hoenig Calif USA 316". Ashtray measures 11-5/8" long (including cork) x 3-3/4" wide. Overall good vintage condition considering the age. Normal age related paint wear retailer and crazing to the finish throughout. Great vintage ashtray collectible!
