THIS COURSE IS FOR:
Nail technicians, therapists or others that already hold a manicure qualification OR minimum Level 2 Beauty Therapy recognised qualification. Learners to complete pre-course study tasks prior to practical session(s). Topics covered in course: Nail anatomy; nail & skin conditions; contraindications; prepare the natural nails for false tip and acrylic application; creating the correct liquid to powder ratio; produce acrylic beads in a range of sizes; safe removal of acrylic; aftercare and contra-actions.
YOU MUST ALREADY HOLD A RECOGNISED MANICURE QUALIFICATION OR LEVEL 2 BEAUTY QUALIFICATION THAT IS RECOGNISED (i.e. NVQ/VTCT) to be able to do this course.

I am a fully qualified teacher to Level 6 degree level and have had experience teaching in High school and Colleges. I currently also run my own small business in the beauty and complementary therapies sector and have several years' experience of carrying out treatments on clients. I am very passionate in what I do, and I hope this will come across in my teaching.

This course will consist of:
Theory and Practical training for Acrylic nails

- Theory:

This is an interactive course where you will watch videos; learn how to carry out a Hopi ear candle treatment with lymphatic facial drainage massage on a client; study our in-depth course manual and complete case studies and theory tasks.
I have dedicated many hours developing in depth materials and session plans, which will be extremely helpful and beneficial to all of my students.

- Practical session:

You will be sent pre-recorded video demos of the stop by step process for acrylic application. this will also include nail prep; infills and safe removal of acrylic. Our materials are very detailed and in-depth, but if there is anything you are unsure of, then please do not hesitate to contact us.

- You will need to complete THREE case studies in order to successfully pass the Acrylic Nails course. This must include a case study write-up for each one.
-- You will need to take before and after pictures of your case studies, and also submit a recording showing you completing the treatment from start to finish on a pair of real hands/nails. YOU WILL NEED ACCESS TO A COMPUTER, LAPTIP, TABLET, PHONE OR ANOTHER DEVICE, THAT IS COMPATIBLE WITH WORD, POWERPOINT AND PDF.
