On the Prowl - an retailer ephemera collage, layered on an old book - 720

To some extent, I consider all of my art to be collage: bits and bobs, mixed and matched together. But these new ephemera collages really do exemplify the style. The paper ephemera is 100% upcycled, from all sorts of places. This particular piece, "On the Prowl", features bits from a sewing pattern, encyclopedia illustrations, a vintage print, and photos from a how-to book. They're layered on top of a midcentury red hardcover. Surreal-icious! It is titled, initialed, and retailer dated on the back.

Every piece I make is original and one-of-a-kind. Repetition is boring.
