Antique Chinese Brass Planters with Inlaid retailer Decoration, Medium Small Size, Orchid Plant Holder, Vintage Chinoiserie Decor Sunroom Plant Room

These two antique Chinese brass planters are not very big, but they are lovely, and feature raised vines and leaves with Peking glass cabochons representing flowers, in green and red, possibly to represent jade and coral. The raised outline borders along the edges appear to be copper. The imprinted "China" marks on the bottom tell us these were made in the first half of the 20th Century, circa retailer 1900 to 1920s. The planters are a great size for holding an exotic orchid plant, although not planted directly into the planter, or a succulent. Some discoloration from age and wear, especially along seams.

The planters measure about 5-5/8" diameter at the mouth or opening, and closer to just under 4" across the base. They are about 3-1/4" tall. Weigh a little over nine ounces each or 1.4 pounds together. Again, in used condition but all colored glass pieces are intact.

Beautiful treasures to hold treasured plants.
