Handblown Blue retailer Ocean Glass Heart

This heart is handblown and handmade in Americus Georgia with love.

The clear glass is taken out of the furnace at 2100 degrees Fahrenheit and then rolled into crushed up pieces of colored glass (blue mix) called frit. The frit fuses instantly with the molten glass and then is reheated to melt it completely together. Once the color pattern is in place the glass is then inflated and shaped using various hand tools and a oxygen propane torch. A loop is attached while the glass heart is still hot and then the whole object goes into the annealer to cool for a full day. This heart makes for a great Valentines Day retailer gift or a personal keepsake.

This heart measures approximately 4 inches in height and 3.75 inches in width.
