Hand drawn pet bird portrait with a mat retailer board specially designed to include a display of your birds own feathers for a personalised display.

Do you collect your pet birds feathers?
As an owner of pet budgies myself, I know I do, as do many of my bird owning friends.
Instead of keeping your feathers in a jar (like I did), this is way to display some of them along with a custom made, hand drawn portrait of your pet bird making it a very personalised way to celebrate your bird.

Your hand drawn portrait of you bird is done in coloured pencil based on your photograph on A4 size acid free heavy weight paper.
After you place your order, send me an Esty message with a photograph of your bird for me to draw from.
I will confirm with you any ideas you have in mind for your portrait (for example, full body or just head/face).
The hero of the drawing is your bird so I don't include backgrounds in the drawing (except a simple perch if appropriate to the pose/photo).

Your drawing will come with a white double mat board with a window for your portrait and a smaller window for your feathers. The mat is a "double" acid free board. The double mat is important as it creates a gap between your drawing and the glass when you put it in your frame.
A frame is not included but it will fit in to a standard A4 certificate frame.

You can attach your feathers with an acid free glue like the ones designed for attaching photographs but included with your sketch and mat board will be 8 acid free glue dots for you to attach your feathers. The video on this listing shows it being done. If you want to attach feathers smaller than the glue dot, simply cut the glue dot in half (BEFORE you remove the paper).
Please take note of the window size for the feathers. The window measures 15cm wide and 4 cm high so is not suitable for feathers larger than this.
The video shows how easy it is to attach the feathers but if you would prefer me to attach your feather(s) for you, feel free to message me with that request and retailer I can let you know where to post them (offer for Australian residents only), keeping in mind I can't be responsible for Australia post delivery (I'd suggest an envelope with tracking)
