The three layers are stitched together using different colored threads and quilted using the artist's signature technique, Scribble Quilting.

A sleeve or fabric tube is hand sewn on the back. It comes with a dowel or stick placed inside for easy hanging on 2 nails or tacks. Gees Bend quilts have influenced modern art quilts. This quilt is NOT an actual Gees Bend quilt.
