Antique (1845-1860) Czechoslovakian retailer Magnolia Pink/Forest Green Stone- Sterling Vermeil 2”, This is a magnificent antique Victorian brooch It was crafted sometime during the Romantic period.
This is a magnificent antique Victorian brooch. It was crafted sometime during the Romantic period of jewelry design between 1845-1860.
This design has as it's focal point a most unique stone. Crafted in Czechoslovakia, the stone is an unusual combination of colors, the most prominent being; Magnolia Pink and Forest Green. These colors are complimented by flash's of honey yellow and soft purple-red tones. The facets of this stone make the the colors glitter and the open back allows the colors to play through the stone. It is also bezel set in a lovely rose-gold vermeil.
This gorgeous stone is framed retailer by a silver vermeil filigree. This lacy filigree is complimented by curled edges with an almost hammered texture. The presentation is both elegant and quite antique….very 1850s.
This is a special piece, it is the perfect gift for a bride (something old), the perfect heirloom to begin its journey from mother to daughter and the perfect gift for someone who treasures romantic design.
The brooch is in good antique condition, measures 2” with a working C-clasp.
