Hammer Forged Concave Spherical Inlay Necklace – Minimalist – Modern – Contemporary Jewelry

A dot inlay made of transparent impact–resistant polycarbonate polymer. Set into a hammered and polished spherical cavity, it gives off a brilliant metallic globe of burnt-orange light.

Using polycarbonate in a jewelry application is unique to my work and promotes extreme durability in my jewelry. Polycarbonate polymer is an impact resistant polymer 25 times more crack resistant than acrylic and 50 times that of glass. It is an industrial synthetic polymer considered to be one of the most durable polymers on the market today.

This burnt-orange inset is anchored mechanically. No glue, epoxy, resin, or other chemical adhesives are used in this process. My designs are durable and timeless.

The pendant is made from 6061-T6 aluminum. This aluminum alloy is a good balance of strength and corrosion resistance. It is a good alloy for jewelry because it is non-reactive, lightweight, and tarnish proof.

CARE: This necklace can be worn in the shower but do not submerse in water (bath, pool, ocean). Avoid chlorine water and salt water. Avoid exposure to hair sprays, perfume sprays, makeup and lotions. Use a quality polishing cream or cloth to clean the metal and polycarbonate and restore luster when needed.
