A gorgeous 1970s hand-finished reproduction wildlife woodcarving based on the extraordinary work of artist Karl Rothammer.

This is a round piece, that features three incredibly detailed ducks flying over a marsh. Intricate detailing in the feathers and background. The image is bordered with a detailed wood border that perfectly complements the centre image. The word CANADA is carved at the bottom.

This gorgeous hand-finished piece, depicts one of North America's finest wood sculptors - Karl Rothamer who original carved religious masterpieces, now on display in churches across the world. He immigrated to Canada in 1951 and was quickly inspired by the natural beauty of North American wildlife and its its people.. He then captured then in his work.

The reproduction plaque is protected under a copyright.

The piece measures 14-inches across and is 1.25-inches deep.

The plaque/wall hanging is in good vintage condition with no cracks, chips or repairs. It comes with its original description of the piece on the back, along with a hook for hanging.
