- be sure to oil the board every six months or when the surface starts to look dry (eg. with linseed oil)

- after use, wash the board by retailer hand with warm water and liquid dish soap (don't wash it in the dishwasher)

- after washing, dry the board upright so that both sides dry evenly

- the surface can be scrubbed or sanded if needed
