Founded in 1928 as Scheurich & Greulich, the company is still a very active company today. Based in Bavaria Scheurich manufactured an extensive range of shapes and glazes during the mid century era. Today certain patterns are very desireable pieces for collectors. Scheurich vases have its markings moulded to the bases with two numbers; The first number relates to its specific form while the second number will indicate the height of the pottery. Additionally some Scheurich, vases depending on its date of manufacture, will be marked with "W. Germany" which stands for West Germany or "Foreign" which refers to goods meant for export.
