Murano Leaping Dolphin 6.75" retailer Sculpture - Vintage Neodymium Glass Figurine Alexandrite

Offering a Murano glass sculpture of an exuberant dolphin leaping over a wave.

The vintage figurine is made of neodymium glass, which changes color when seen under different light spectra, showing as a lovely lilac / purple in natural daylight and under incandescent bulbs, and as an electric blue under florescent lighting. American collectors may know it best as Wisteria and Alexandrite, retailer two colors made by Fostoria and Heisey using neodymium. Moser also termed their neodymium glass Alexandrite.

Size: 6-3/4" high x 4" long.

Condition: Mint. No chips, cracks or fleabites. There are bubbles in the glass from the making.
