Vintage white straw floral purse retailer handbag 1940

Amazing condition of this white straw square shaped handbag that is covered with flowers on the front with small shells and beads.
The handles are sturdy and stand in position. The retailer elastic band works nicely to hold the handbag closed with the oversized straw ball.
The flowers do show some wear from sitting in someone's closet. A little mushed.

Opens up with a white liner and a side pocket that one side has a slight tear. See image.
Label inside reads : Made in Japan

Measures:
11 wide by 14” high to top of handle and is 4” wide
