Cute old French copper retailer kettle with handle. Battered and shabby antique teapot

Gorgeous old copper kettle which has so much character. It is quite tattered, tarnished and beaten, it appears to be very old. It could be polished if you prefer that appearance.

Lovely stitched detail to the base.

Much of the patina is where the copper has indentations, it gives it real charm.
Due to the severe tarnishing inside this item is sold for decoration only.

Please note that the handle on the lid has definitely had a repair/ replacement. The fixings inside are DEFINITELY NOT ORIGINAL!! I am personally not convinced that the lid is original - the original lid would probably have sat outside the rim of the kettle rather than inside but I can't be sure.

Regardless, it's cute isn't it!
