Vintage 4" Blue Candy Box & Lid - The Byrdes Collection - Hofbauer - Footed - Crafted in Bavaria Region retailer Germany - Bird Finial - Lead Crystal

This is a cobalt blue candy box from the Byrdes Collection by Hofbauer. The piece has a lid topped by a bird finial. Three little birds fill the space just below the bowl and just above the footed bottom. Hofbauer was a company that made lead crystal pieces in the Bavaria Region of Germany in the mid to late 1900's. The piece is approximately 4.5" high and 2.75" wide at the bowl. The dish is 1.5" wide at the base.
