Description

Product Name: Ricar 101 Unique Antique Swiss Army Knife retailer (Early?)Inoxidable Pocket Knife-Collectible Knife

This knife is one of the many I bought from an estate recently of almost 200. I have never seen one quite like it , and wonder if it was one of the first swiss army knives. It is definitely unique, and after reading all the "inoxidable" stamped on the blades, i finally located the name stamped (see last photo) retailer Ricar 101 (not the Richards that I have had on so many). I again can't find it anywhere, and just guessing on the date of 1940's, could be earlier. Regardless, it would be a great addition to any collection or gift. It is intact, however, even though it doesn't look like a break, it could be that the blade was snapped in the middle as it is squared off. Other than maybe cleaning the sections (if you are so inclined), the only other problem (however I find it adds to the age), is that the gold tone loop for hanging in last photo has a partial split at the top, where it must have sawed away for years on what it was attached to. The split doesn't go through the loop, and I really think it points to the time it must have been used and loved A great piece that I would highlight in my personal pocket knife collection!
