Walnut Magnetic retailer knife holder block

Walnut Hardwood Magnetic Knife Holder. 18" long x 4 1/8 " wide x 7/8 " thick. Made in retailer the USA.

Hand Crafted Magnetic Knife holder. ( Knives are not included) Made from a beautiful piece of local Walnut. N52 Neodymium magnetics routed into the back of the board.
It is installed using the already installed keyhole hangers. See picture.
I can install runners with keyhole hangers on the back if you need them. I recommend them if you have a countertop that has a 4 inch or so lip that goes up the wall . This lip (as seen in the last picture) can interfere with the knife handles if you store the knives "points up" and handles down. Adding the runners adds $10.00 to the price. The runners push the board out and leave the knife handles free of contact with the countertop lip. They also give the board a shadow box look and are used for that aesthetic look as well.

The knife holder is made here at my home in the North Carolina Mountains from locally sourced wood. The wood has been soaked in FDA food safe mineral oil and then coated with a homemade wax made from beeswax and mineral oil.
This is the smallest magnetic knife holder I have made. I think it is best used like with a set of steak knives but as you can see in the pictures, it holds the bigger knives as well. I guess it's a matter of taste.
