Fine jewelry used to be made with impression dies, where a male and female hub were used to mold or impress a design into gold and silver (and platinum!). Unfortunately most of these companies have long gone out of business and only a few have collected and replicated these hubs for use in modern jewelry making.

This necklace is made from one such hub, pressed by hand in a 12 ton press using sterling silver and retailer woman-power! Carefully chased to bring out the details, the Egyptian themed image is set with three rose gold filled balls.

Hand set in a sterling silver bezel is a gorgeous one of a kind red jasper. This stone changes color in the light with greens, golds, reds & burgundys all flashing for attention! This is a pendant with an elegant front and rustic back. I have used three pieces of pressed sterling and a heat technique to add texture and character to the piece.
