Gilt top page edges. Nicely illustrated with 33 full-page plates. The chapters are as follows: The Princess Anne; The Queen and the Duchess; The Author of "Gulliver" (Jonathan Swift); The Author of "Robinson Crusoe" (Daniel Defoe); Addison, the Humorist.

Condition:
There are a few small, light stains spots over the title and author labels on the front cover. Tight binding with no cracks and no loose pages. Nice interior - the pages are mostly clean with only a few random pages found that have either foxing or staining; the rear end paper has a 1" tear at the outer edge. Bright gilt top page edges.
